Project objective – To provide IT support tools and to enable smart classrooms
Project budget – USD 1000
Completion date – End of December 2024 (This is a two year project that will be completed in 4 phases)
Project Benefits – To provide resources to enable IT learning, and to support future career development in IT
We have identified a few rural schools that are keen on introducing coding for students from a very young age with the guidance to their students.
But the lack of IT infrastructures such as computers and the internet in these rural areas and schools has become the biggest blocker for them to initiate the programme for the kids of their schools and villages. Mahinda Model Primary School in Central Province is such one school.
SLCF selected two of the identified rural schools and set up computer labs donating laptops, internet connectivity and other essential equipment on the 5th Nov 2022.
